CAP Cadets Learn About Network Security

On July 20 CAP cadets were invited to tour the US Army Network Enterprise Technology Command at Fort Huachuca Army Base.

The Command is the Army’s single information technology service provider for all network communications. As a part of US Army Cyber Command it maintains and defends the Global Network Enterprise to maintain information security.

Squadron 304 was represented by C/Amn Liam Proctor and Maj Jeff Alloway.

Cadet toured the Command as part of preparatory training for the Cyberpatriot competition beginning later this year. Squadrons from all over Arizona Wing field teams in this national competition which puts cadets in the position of newly hired IT professionals tasked with managing the network of a small company. CAP squadrons compete in the All Service Division against against other CAP squadrons, as well as JROTC groups and Naval Sea Cadets. There are more than 500 registered All Service teams across the country.
